Players of all skill levels and experiences are welcome to play in OMDGA™​ tournaments.

Spring Fever Fling

Spring in Omaha means a few things: warmer weather, longer days, and the Spring Fever Fling. The tournament has been running since 1988, and at this point it's become the unofficial opening bell for the disc golf season.

After a few months of cold and mud, people are ready to get back out there, and this event tends to scratch that itch. Part of what makes it work is that it doesn't take itself too seriously. There are competitive divisions if you want them, but plenty of people show up just to play a round in decent weather and catch up with people they haven't seen since November.

​New players come out, regulars come back, and somehow it all feels pretty low-pressure for a tournament. That easygoing atmosphere is what's kept it on the calendar year after year. Disc golf communities can sometimes feel cliquey or intimidating to newcomers, but the Fling tends to sidestep that.

People are too happy about the weather to be uptight about much else. It's grown steadily over the years, drawing more players, more spectators, and a solid volunteer crew who show up reliably. Whether you're playing seriously or just happy to be outside, it tends to feel like the right way to start the season.

A Call To Arms

A Call To Arms has been a cornerstone of the Omaha disc golf scene for years, drawing players from across the region to compete, connect, and celebrate the sport. Established in 1993, the tournament was originally conceived as a way to bring together Omaha's growing disc golf community while raising funds to support local courses and future events.

Held annually, A Call To Arms has evolved from a small, grassroots event into one of Omaha’s premier disc golf tournaments, known for its competitive play and its vibrant atmosphere. The event's name reflects the spirit of disc golfers coming together—answering the “call” to take part in the sport they love while contributing to the betterment of Omaha’s disc golf infrastructure.

With divisions for all skill levels, from recreational to advanced, A Call To Arms offers something for everyone. Over the years, it has become a much-anticipated event, where new players and seasoned veterans alike test their skills on Omaha's finest courses.

Beyond the competition, the tournament has consistently emphasized community, fostering camaraderie through side events, raffles, and post-tournament celebrations. As the disc golf scene continues to grow, A Call To Arms remains a proud tradition, bringing together players, volunteers, and sponsors to ensure the sport’s continued success in Omaha.
